Tablets/Laptops with one ram slot - Dual Channel?

Solution
1 RAM stick in a dual channel board is not 'half' the performance of 2 sticks in a dual channel board.
You might see a 10% increase.

But if there is one and only one slot, how could it make a difference? You get a single slot of RAM.

You maintain it makes a difference. Show me some numbers.

It makes a huge difference... especially when your Intel 520 is using single channel DDR3 memory. It makes a huge difference having your rate cut in half. Like that.

Besides I asked for an answer, not your opinion that it doesn't matter, because it really does.

Do you have a single sodimm laptop running in single channel? Can you send me a task manager or CPU-z creen showing this? Or did you just answer because you don't think it matters and are guessing?

There used to exist laptops with 1 RAM module soldered on the motherboard and one free SODIMM slot for expansion so it's possible. I even think that those new thin laptops could use that technique to become thinner.

As USAFRet mentioned, the difference between single channel and dual channel is 10% in the best case memory-intensive use. You will barely feel it unless using a benckmark or a stopwatch.
