I have a Lenovo G40-30 laptop and it's too slow.

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Single-Language with Bing 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
System Model: 80FY
BIOS: A7CN40WW
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPY N2940 @ 1.83 GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 2048 MB RAM
Display: Intel(R) HD Graphics with 997 MB approx. total memory

Everything is too slow. Whenever I open a folder, or even click on something, it's always slow. What's the reason for this? How can I repair this?

Solution
Upgrade memory to 4GB, running Windows x64 on anything less is criminal, especially when it shares memory with GPU.
Replace HDD with SSD, vast performance boost, make sure you have a backup of install partition on 16GB USB pendrive.

Reinstall from pendrive and uninstall all the Lenovo and 3rd party apps that are at best rubbish and worst have big security holes

or and my choice

Do the free Windows 10 upgrade, but download to USB pendrive and upgrade from that.
Let Windows figure out what drivers it has and the other get from Lenovo and copy to pendrive.
Do a full clean install from pendrive, deleting all the existing partitions and you have a clean bloatfree Windows 10.
