Help choosing the Best Graphics card for my needs

Hi,

So I am looking forward to play all upcoming games at Ultra settings on 1080p. 60 FPS isn't an issue but it should not drop below 40. I've the GTX 970 and the GTX 1070 on my mind.

Lots of reviews are directing that 1070 is overkill for 1080p gaming(and also slightly out of my budget at the current ridiculous pricing). So should I wait for it or should I suffice myself with a 970? I've also the 1060 on my mind right now since Nvida claims that it performs on par with the 980.

Expecting some answers.

Wait for teh 1060. Older Nvidia cards underperform in DX12 games. This is architectural and has been adressed in teh latest generation. So, as DX12 games come out, the 1060 will distance itself even further. Add to this the extra 2 gigs of vram(you should get the 6 gig version) and this is a no-brainer.
