Hi guys i just upgrade my old desktop. But It wont's power on i'm trying to figure out why. desktop is Acer AM3410-UR21P
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4
Motherboard: chipset AMD 880G/AM3 socket? not sure. Want to provide more detail But i couldn't find the model number for this old mobo.
I brought the EVGA 430W power supply and a GTX950 graphic card. i think i connected them correctly.
Appreciate any help

No lights and sounds.
I didn't upgrade the bios. I thought i need to power on first and then upgrade the Bios.
I'm really a noob. So I need to install the old power supply back and upgrade the bios?

I pulled 950 out still nothing power on. At first i connect it to the monitor, But it didn't power on so i disconnected.

Updates: i just installed my old Power Supply back. it powers on. I'm now trying to upgrade the MOBO BIos

That's why i got the evga 430w PSU. I'm trying to update the BIOS. just figure out the current version is P01-B3.
Thanks for your help!

I just tried one more time. it still doesn't work.
Do you think it has anything to do with the PSU cables?

old PSU 24pin atx cable/4Pin 12v
EVGA 20+4pin Atx cable/4+4 pin EPS 12v
MOBO 24/4

Yes I turn on the switch.

Nothing is working.

Yes I even tried the other cable from my old PSU
Thanks for your help:)

plainly dead psu then ,unfortunate & very very annoying but it does happen ( seen this with far more expensive units than the 430w)
