My computer boots, but screen turns black a second after displaying the boot logo. I've tested different screens, GPUS and hard drives without success. Do I need to buy a new motherboard?

Solution
No, as not sure about the defective component. If under warranty, try RMA-ing the pc. If not, try testing the pc at a local PC shop (if not too expensive).

The menu shows up, however, the screen still turns black before I can actually read anything.

There is a DVI output on the motherboard with a plastic cover on it saying 'Do not remove', so I assume so. Should I try booting with it?

I tried connecting the monitor to the DVI in the motherboard and removing the graphics card. The issue persists unfortunately.

I'll ask at a local PC shop. Thanks anyway for your time and help.
