1080 will get over 60 fps in gta v at 4k if you don't start modding the game so its up to you if you want to get the 1080 but this games are old. When you done playing them and you want to pick up something new you wont get the 60 fps and then you are stuck. I would just wait for the 1080 ti to see what it will bring to the table and by that point 4k monitors and gtx 1080 will go down in price. but that is only me. if you have the € or $ just get it if you want if you need to save up just wait

good luck

There is no word on when the 1080Ti will be coming. Unless you desperately need to upgrade, I'd wait for more info to surface about it. Otherwise, I'd just bite the bullet and buy a 1080.

It all depends on the games you play or want to play. I got 1440p 165hz (Acer Predator XB271HU) with a 980 Ti OC @ 1500 playing Tomb Raider or others in that res I get min of 65fps with max of 98fps all utra and 2 x aa . If you want to go 4k and play shooters and want to get over at list 60* fps when maxed out I would wait for the 1080 ti and see what It could do. 1070 or 1080 won’t push 60 fps maxed out at 4k.

in conclusion...I would wait for the 1080 ti and see what it can do @ 4k IMPO
