I want to make a new upgrade on my CPU but the voltage required on Memory Type in the i7 6700K 4.0Ghz is 1.35V, my new memory RAM is a G.Skill Value Series 2x8GB 1333Mhz it voltage is 1.5V. I would like to know if there will be a problem between the voltage with in them if I keep like this. I really want to keep it because my MOBO is a Asus B150M-PLUS D3 and it also support for 1333Mhz on RAM memory, I just bought my 2x8GB RAM, I don't want to waste more money with RAM it isn't cheap.

Solution

It will damage the CPU. Over the long term could even make it not usable.

What do you mean by dangerous for the Skylake CPU's ?
What would be the side effects about it ?
