Gtx 1070 low firestrike score?

Setup:

I5 3570k @ 4.2ghz
Gtx 1070 gigabyte windforce OC
8GB ddr3 1600mhz
Corsair 750m psu

My gpu usage is about 97 - 98% when running firestrike and the gpu clock speeds go from 1968 mhz to 1936 - 1940 mhz, is it normal for it to drop like this?

I have a very similar score as yours, 12850, and I'm running a i5 4590 processor and I was overclocked. My physics score is what brings me down, where my graphic scores were as high as 19,000.

From my understanding is that the physics score is not as important as the graphics score, where you don't lose much fps when your processor is somewhat out of date, say not a i7 when your's is a i5.

Yes, my 1080 ranges between 2025 and 2075 in Firestrike..
