Need a recommendation of a motherboard to be able to upgrade my desktop

Ok a bit of explanation: I own an older version of the HP Pavillion that has very outdated hardware. I upgraded the memory RAM a few months ago which helped a little, but my main focus right now is to upgrade the GPU since I play a lot of games and my current GPU (GeForce GT 530) is not able to handle most mediocre games nowadays. However this is my situation. My brother already upgraded his GPU, and his old one is already way better than my 530. I attempted to upgrade it with my current set up, and after a lot of trial and error as well as research I found out that my current motherboard is not compatible with the newer generation GPUs. It has something to do with the fact that newer GPUs use a different BIOS than my current motherboard.

I have been told before that it might come out cheaper to just buy a GPU that is compatible with mine, however it is not my intention to have an outdated motherboard for a long time. I would like to be able to upgrade some hardware every 6 months or so, and owning an extremely old motherboard might make it much harder to do so.

I also understand that my current power supply will probably not work for a new motherboard (apparently HP is pretty cheap when it comes to power supply). I also do understand I will need a bigger case for my computer, which I am fine with it. I mainly just need some direction of what motherboard/power supply/case I should look into. There are so many options out there that I do not even know where to start looking.

Some requirements that I am looking for are:
1 - To be compatible with the rest of my hardware (obviously, and this is where I'm most afraid of buying the wrong one)
2 - To be compatible with a higher end CPU, once I decide to upgrade mine (an i7 or better)
3 - To not be in the most expensive end of the spectrum. Perhaps mid-range price would be ok, although some budged options would be nice to have in order to compare them
4 - Hopefully one that also works with my 530, so that I can upgrade things slowly (first just the motherboard, then try the new GPU in, etc) [Not sure necessary]

Ok finally these are my current specs:
The ones I want to change and would like a recommendation for these:
Motherboard - Pendragon 2AC2 (AMI BIOS)
Power Supply - (Im not sure which one I have but just know it won't work for any newer motherboards)
Case - Any bigger motherboard than the one I have will probably need to be placed in a bigger case

My other specs that are either saying after the upgrade or that I already have a replacement ready:
CPU - i3 2100
RAM - DDR3 8GB
GPU - GeForce 530 (I have a gtx 750ti that's waiting for me to buy a new motherboard)

tldr: Need recommendation for a Motherboard, Power Supply and maybe some cases that will all be compatible with my current specs. (I am currently using a 530 GPU and have a gtx 750ti waiting for a new motherboard, would prefer if the motherboard is compatible with both the 530 and the gtx 750ti)

Thanks in advance!
