Need a new computer. I am not a gamer but use cad and photography/designer software a lot. I hate to wait so it needs to be fast. This is what I came up with by learning through google. Would appreciate a more knowledgeable person to take a look if this makes any sense:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card
Case: Zalman ZM-Z9 NEO BK ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Pioneer BDR-209DBK Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit
Wireless card: TP-LINK N900 2.4GHz or 5GHz up to 450Mbps Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter for Windows (TL-WDN4800)

This costs around $1400. Wouldn't mind paying less but don't want to regret being too cheap.

Solution
My only suggestions are get a Western digital black hard drive and a better quality power supply for a work computer. There is a psu tier list on these forums to show you where to look. Stick with t1 or t2. Rest should do a good job
