I have an hp 500-123w
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03968985

I have already upgraded my PSU, GPU and RAM. I am now thinking about updating my CPU.

I am considering either an i5-3570, or the i5-3470. The 3470 is a little cheaper., but the 3570 looks more powerful. Is it worth the extra money to buy the 3570?

These are currently the two I am looking at, but I would consider another cpu. Any suggestions?

"Cooling Components Included: Fan with Heatsink"

Yes you can use it. Your motherboard will likely not be able to get it above it's maximum frequency, but I wouldn't try to do that anyways, your motherboard probably can't deliver enough power to overclock.

Will it work? Yes. Will it overclock at all? No.

there is such a tiony difference that you will never notice that's be more inclined to get the best deal possible between those two items and spend the extra couple of bucks saved on some increased ventilation, better fans, or whatever fits within that budget envelope.

i dont think my motherboard supports overclocking, but thanks.

How much better are these two cpu's compared to the one that came with my computer?

Also, do i need heat sink compound? If so, can i buy one with a fan include d, so i dont have to buy any...

It will work, but you will have to clean the old thermal grease off your CPU cooler and apply new thermal grease.

That's because this is a tray CPU, not a retail boxed product where thermal grease is pre-applied to the included cooling solution. So if you order this CPU (it will work and is supported on your system) also get a small qty of thermal grease and watch a tube video on how to apply it correctly.

I thought about using my old cooler, but im scared to apply heat sink. I'm afraid ill use to much/not enough and ruin a 200 dollar product, therefore: i'm willing to spend a little more for one with a cooler
