1150 or 1151, not the normal question. Searching for opinions

Hi everybody, my question to you is if i should pickup a Asus z97-P and i5 4690k and a 980 or a i5 6500 gtx 970 ill splurge a bit of extra money on the 1150 build but i think it'll last me longer what do you guys think. Go with 1150 or 1151??

The prices for comparable motherboards and RAM looked the same to me and the cooler is the same. If you want to get the 4790k, there's nothing wrong with it, I was just giving my opinion. Even if they were 5 or 10 percent more expensive, it would be worth it to me for that since you are getting 5 or 10 percent more performance (clock for clock), more features and will be supported longer.

For me here in Sweden a 1151 build is almost 80-100 dollars more expensive, so i might go with a 4790k cause i enjoy doing youtube videos and some streaming:)

I know, but then the price of the motherboard, ddr4 memory and cooler comes.
