This happens in both firefox and chrome on Windows 10, my graphics card is a GTX 1080. It happens on my second monitor (1080p 60Hz). My main monitor is a 1440p G-Sync monitor which I game on while I watch videos on the second monitor. If I'm watching a video on the monitor alone, it looks fine, but when I click back into my borderless game on the main monitor, the tearing happens. I've checked out a number of different posts with this same issue and tried all of the following solutions:

  • Changing v sync settings for firefox in the Nvidia control panel (off, on, adaptive, half refresh rate)
Turning triple buffering on and off
Changing theme settings in Windows from performance to quality
    Different DVI/HDMI cables
Changing the default value to 60 and 30 in firefox about:config - layout.frame_rate
    Clean install of display drivers
    Clean install of Windows 10
    Other things I can't remember.

Please let me know if you have any other ideas, this problem is killing me!
