Hey guys,

This is my first ever gaming build, and I need some help to make educated choices to get the most out of my parts, especially my GPU. I would like to max out most AAA titles on 1920 x 1080p

Here are my parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/

For GPU, I'm between GTX 1070, GTX 1060, and RX 480. As I mentioned before, I would like my build to max out games like Battlefield 1, Doom, Assassin's Creed.....etc on 1080p. The source of my confusion is that I don't know which GPU is more than enough to max out those games at 1080p. Recommendations would very much appreciated about GPU choice and my all of my other parts.

Thanks,

John_K

If your monitor is 60Hz, any of this cards will be fine.
If your monitor is 144Hz, than a 1070 makes sense.
I do not like the MB suggested above because of only 2 ram slots. And the PSU is not the level you put in gaming rig. Actually, I'd go for a build with i5-6600K to have it serving your needs for the next 3-5 years.
It would look like :

GTX 1070 is above your budget. This specific RX 480 can be OC'd to GTX 980 levels. GTX 1060 is equivalent to RX 480 OC for $300.

That kinda above your budget, and it is possible to drop CPU and save like 70$ on CPU and cooler. or even a bit more if you take a simpler one (this mobo is an excellent deal - better keep it)
As for the GPU. Your choice is 480 and 1060 (may be GTX 970 if the price falls below 200$).
Under any circumstances do not buy reference RX 480 (the one with the blower). Get a nice card from partners with custom PCB and custom cooler.

GL.

This is what i'd do if you must adhere to $800 exactly, but I'd go the bit extra for the Fractal Design R4.
