I have a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X and it turns off it's fans automatically when there is no load. Because of this, and I guess my ambient temperature, the card idles at 60c.

Is this too hot? Should I turn on the fans?

Do you have alot of fans in your case? Whats the Ambient Temperature (Fahrenheit or Celsius is fine for response)

I have 6 fans. 3 Exhaust and 3 Intake. Room temperature is around 30c

Hmm that should provide sufficient airflow, but that ambient temperature is a little high. Did you happen to set power management to Prefer maximum performance in the Nvidia Control panel?

My power management is set to optimal. Should I change it?

And yes I live in a tropical, humid country so it is very hot here. Which is why I worry for my card.

Is it set to prefer maximum performance in the Global settings? or per game basis?

I made a mistake.

My power management is set to optimal and this is on Global Settings.

Hmm, Im not sure what could be causing it to idle so high then. My Armor edition 1070 from MSI manages to idle around 31-33 in a 24 Celsius environment when its fans shut off on the card.
