which is better to buy hard disk or pen drive because i need both windows and fedora as my os but in my laptop i have a registered os so it is not safe yo divide the os so i am thinking to buy a hard disk or pen drive which is better

Pen drive is handier and less susceptible to mechanical failure. A good USB3 pen drive can be as fast as HDD. I use several for my Linux distros. If you make it bootable. live with http://lili-usb-creator.en.lo4d.com/ you could make a 4GB Persistance file and so keep changes and installed programs even with live edition.
