AMD 6670 card 1g ddr3

Would like a few steps up

Suggestions please

Use for medium gaming light video editing

Would like to stay with AMD but I am wary on the amount of power they draw I have 500w but don't want to run too close to the edge

Tom's CPU Hierarchy chart shows the relative relationship between gfx cards. They recommend a 3 tier jump to see any worthwhile improvement. Of course, your 500W PSU may or may not be up to the task.. Total wattage means very little. It is the +12V rails capacity that matters most.

The R7-250 on up would be an example of that kind of jump. Do you have a max budget? Is this for gaming? If so, what is your monitor's resolution?

Thank you for taking time to help me.

From what I read resolution is max is 1920x1080 60hz

My budget is not over 150 bucks as I am not a serious game person just wanted to see if I could add something above the card I have.

To answer your question directly. I do play games on it, but not hardcore gamer.

I have looked at the chart and have attempted to research cards but it has been kind of overwhelming so I am asking for advice.
HD 6850, 7770, R7 260, R7 360

These cards are all listed in the same tier (if I am reading it right) and 5 tiers above what i currently have

and the 360 is listed, any thoughts on those.

For 1080P gaming, the R7 360 should fit the bill. Granted you won't be able to max out all the graphical settings, but you still can get decent eyecandy with good framerates.

It's the newest card of the lot, and is more efficient, in a manner of speaking. It doesn't draw more than 100W at load, iirc
