Many very smart choices there. As others have commented, this could be made into a Skylake system but I might comment on the disk Consider these two numbers:
Average Passmark Disk Marks:
Crucial BX200 240GB >
3134 $85
Samsung 750 Evo 250GB >
3906 [$114]
Performance should be very good:
On Passmark Baselines:
i5-4690K / MSI Z97- Gaming / 16GB / GTX 1070 / Crucial MX100 256GB
Rating: 5100
CPU: 9397 (@ 3.9 / 4.4Ghz)
2D: 1114
3D: 12467
Mem: 3248
Disk:
2659
With that CPU /MB and GTX 970, a Samsung 850 Evo 250GB has a score of
5124 So, a nice improvement for $30.
If the budget is not at it's limit there is also the
Samsung SM951 256GB AHCI ($157, Newegg) which scores
9381.
I have one of these and it really
goes.
