I am looking to upgrade my pc so that it can do 4K at an okay framerate (30-40fps) on medium or 2K at 30-40fps on high settings, on games such as ETS2 and Minecraft. I was wondering whether this set up (below) would cope with this and whether all of it would be compatible.

Motherboard: Gigabyte z97x-sli-cf
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3 (Maybe get 8GB or so more if needed.)
Graphics Card: I haven't got one yet but I am thinking of either Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X OC 2GB GDDR5 or MSI R9 285 GAMING 2G - AMD R9 285 GAMING 2GB 973MHz 5500MHz 256-bit DDR5. (I am trying to keep costs at a minimum.)

UPDATE 3: (For the graphics card, I already have 2 butr I don't think they're that good; MSI N460GTX Cyclone and GTX460 768M GDDR5 192B CRT DVI HDMI.)

Thank you in advance and I value all feedback given.
Sorry about the update, I got the motherboard and RAM wrong. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

(THIS IS UPDATE 3)

your setup is all compatible but it can't run games at 4k if you buy your desire gpus, you need atleast GTX 970 or r9 390 or higher card to run games at 4k. :)
:r9 270x 2gb isnt enough for 4k sorry to say that, you need atleast 4gb up.
hope that helps :)

a gtx 980 ti or better for 4k medium

this is assuming you want to use mods of any kind

Thank you. I started really thinking about quite cheap graphics card running 4K when I watched this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4xDfEOGONw (LinusTechTips - Can you build a 4K gaming PC for under $1000)
So I thought you could, but thank you, I will probably get the MSI AMD R9 380 4GB.

dota2 can run on a potato and is not indicative of most games

>.> a 380 is great for 1080p

you WILL be dissapointed in 1440p and 4k with it

unless all you plan on playing is dota2

Thank you, I will just keep with this and sort of go with flow as I get better things like monitors (right now I only have a 1680x1050 monitor), so it should be quite an improvement with games like ETS2 for now. I mean from 64MB of dedicated graphics memory to 4GB.
