Solution
Here is a build that is way more powerefull for gaming for under 1200$
We can make it ~100-150$ less.
Let me know what you think.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($238.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($43.53 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($139.88 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($109.00 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card ($419.99 @...
It might feet into your inspirion case. though the PSU might be too long.
Also, that inspririon case has "poor airflow" and can not handle high end CPU and GPU in gaming.
you can fit your system together here:
http://pcpartpicker.com/
it will also warn you on compatibility issues.
If you have not purchased the parts yet, it might be better to consider going intel i5

Solution
It has it's own case which is suited for your system.
The list above is a complete build.
Things that not included :
* windows license - i don't know if you already have one
* optical drive - they are not so much used so if you want it, you can add one you need.
You can try to sell the Dell, or give it to someone.

The parts are selected from the different sources for the lowest prices.
