Jaggies/AA problems in multiple games

I have a 1080p monitor and I am seeing a lot of jagged edges or bad AA. I have done tons of research on this and this is what I have done:

- Uninstall/reinstall graphics drivers (Using the tool online)

- Use Nvidia Control Panel to manually turn on AA

- Upscale the graphics to 1440p/4k

- Put AA on the max with upscaled graphics

Here is a link to pictures of what I am experiencing: http://imgur.com/a/WEk2y
In the pictures it doesn't look like the AA is terrible but it is worse in game.

I am not sure if this is normal AA or is this a big problem. In GTA 5 I see jaggies the most. On almost every car I drive it will have jaggies on the edge of the car. I am not sure what kind of problem this is. I am wondering if this is normal 1080p, or this is a big problem. I think it is a problem since in GTA 5 most of the game is drawn with jagged edges.

If this problem cannot be fixed, then I could upgrade to 1440p. I don't want to upgrade to 1440p now but I am looking into it.

I hope there is a solution to this problem.

Thanks in advance!

Try DSR, see how it goes. I found it was too blurry for me despite testing all the smoothing levels but it did indicate how my system would handle 1440 (that was the resolution I tested)

Even the best AA only smooths the jaggies, they are still there. Depending on the method used it can be rather ineffective (looking at you Final Fantasy). What size is your 1080 monitor, anything above 24" you are seeing the pixels and theres not much to do but go 1440. At 1440 you are gonna want a GTX970 or AMD equivalent AT LEAST. New games will push this further up the GPU ladder so I'd suggest better.

With 1440p DSR and no AA it looks near similar to 1080p but with some jaggies

With 1440p DSR and AA it looks better and there are still some jaggies but less than no AA

With 2160p DSR and no AA it looks like 1440p with AA

With 2160p DSR and AA jaggies are non existant

I am not sure if DSR is accurate to how the game would look if I had a 1440p monitor or 2160p (4k) monitor. I hope it looks better on a native monitor if I ever get one in the future.

EDIT: My pc can handle games at 1440p with high settings on most games. Even though the game looks mushy I can handle it.
