I'm looking to upgrade my main computer from an AMD FX-8350 to a Intel based CPU. My question is, what is my best CPU and motherboard to buy - with the CPU nt costing more that about $200 if possible.
My current computer setup is as fallows:
If possible, I want to only replace the CPU and motherboard. Keeping the RAM, GPU, hard drives. etc. Also, the new mother board will need at least 5 SATA ports; and prefer 4 of those to be 6Gb/s speed, as those are for my hard drives. And will need at least 1 PCIe x16 slot (for the graphics card; preferably 3.0 spec) and at least 1 PCIe x1 (as I have a separate sound card installed as well)
I'd like to know what the best motherboard/Intel CPU combo would be' not spending more than about $200 for the CPU and as little as possible for a decent motherboard [maybe not more than $100].
I'll primarily just be gaming - and sometimes recording my game play with OBS.
Overall my system runs great when gaming - with the games I play. But I'd like to start recording game play more often; and with the newer games it's starting to get a bit tougher as I seem to be getting more lag issues/dropped frames when recording.
Any suggestions would b great and welcomed. Any further info needed let me know.
