I'm having issues with my RAM. I have 24gb's of DDR3 Ram installed on my PC and it's only showing 11.9 as usable. I've checked the compatibility with my M/B, OS and everything is good. I've looked for workarounds but I can't find anything that will help solve my problem. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8320 8-Core 3.5 GHz
Video card: Asus Geforce GTX Strix 960 OC 4gb
OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit
PSU: Thermaltake 750w
RAM: 2 G. Skill Ripjaw series 4gb sticks and 2 G. Skill Ripjaw 8gb sticks

Solution
Consult the user manual on how to install odd sized sticks into the 4 DIMM slots. Each mobo is different and you cannot always just insert the sticks in any order. Normally each channel pair should have the same sized sticks to operate at full speed. The BIOS info page will show you which slots are being recognized.

I haven't tried that yet. I originally had the 2 4gb sticks in and it picked up 8gb, but then I upgraded and it says what I put above. I will try just the 2 8gb sticks and see what happens. Thank you and I'll let you know
