Hello,
I am currently building a computer and I have run into a problem. I have plugged everything in and all the parts are working except the display wont show which means no BIOS either. I have tested the monitor and it works on another computer. The motherboard lights up and I have tried plugging the monitor into both the graphics card and the motherboard with a Display Port & HDMI cable. Could someone help me fix this problem?
Motherboard: MSI Krait Gmaing 3x Z170A
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X

Solution
You have to connect all required PCIe cables (example: if 6 pin and 8 pin headers present on the card, you have to connect both 6 pin and 8 pin power cables to it, not only one 6 pin or one 8 pin cable).

the screen finally shows but it wont show anything if i have just the hdmi hooked to the mother board. When i have the display port in the graphics card though it will say i need to power down and put the PCIe cable into the graphics card. I have no cable with PCIe on it that came with the power supply.

When graphics card installed, the onboard is automatically disabled (for using it, you'd have to remove the card).
What power supply using? Are there cables like https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachments/pcie6-2-jpg.57637/ (even if not labeled PCIe or VGA)?
