Reinstalled Windows 7, cant install any other programs.

Title says all

I cant install any programs (Such as Photoshop) onto my computer and it usually either crashes or fails to work at the end of it. What could bne the cause of this?

I am considering reverting as there has been a lot of problems that i had not wanted to encounter.
