so when ever i watch twitch or any streaming site (netflix hbo now) i get high ram and disc usage, sometimes my computer becomes extremely sluggish to the point its would take about 10 minutes to open a new chrome tab. usually its not noticeable until im in a game which then causes that game to become unplayable (example i was getting about 5 fps in overwatch and nothing would load in) i have an i5 4690k 8gbs of ram 1tb hard drive gtx 970 running on windows 10. is there any simple thing im missing or is something set wrong on my computer? i've ran windows ram tests as well as avast full system scans but nothing seems to fix it. thanks

start task manager...go to processes tab...click on view from the top menu...enable cpu time...this will give u a fair idea about what is consuming most of ur resources...
streaming in game is quite a resource heavy task...not that ur build is not capable of it...but if there is any other process consuming resource remotely, then u can figure it out from there...
also restart bits from services.msc...
try to launch ur games thru razer cortex and see if that makes a difference...
