Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to get my new Rx 480 video card to work. (When I boot up the system nothing is displayed to my monitor despite all Fan's turning on.)

I've been told multiple times on different forums that it would be a good idea to update the BIOS. My system a spec's are:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release_sec.160527-1834)

Lenovo IdeaCentre K330 model 7727

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz

12GB RAM

NVidia GeForce GTX 650 TI (Upgrading to Radeon RX 480 8GB.)

Lenovo Cip67m Ideacentre K330 Lga 1155 Desktop System Motherboard (I believe.)

LENOVO BIOS version: DKKT18AUS

SolidGear 650W Power Supply - Model#: SDGR-650E

HD: Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 - 1TB

Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse II

Mouse: Logitech M570 Trackball

Screen: LG 22" Class Full HD IPS LED Monitor

The problem is that Lenovo offers the update but only to Windows 7 systems. As you can see I'm windows 10.

So, can I go through with the update onto my system or do I have to downgrade to Windows 7, install BIOS update, then upgrade to Windows 10?

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and installed the updated BIOS exactly how the readme file suggested and every time I restart the computer I hear 2 beeps then a error screen appears. The error message reads"

"Error 0162: Setup data integrity check failure."

I am then asked to either press F1 to enter setup or to press F2 to resume. When I hit f2 the computer boots up normally with no problem.

What can I do?

Now this is really strange. I restarted the computer to reset the bios to default settings and nothing happened. No error message. I then shut the pc down that started it back up and the same thing. It booted up without any problems again.

I don't understand how that can be. Apparently it fixed itself without me doing anything?

EDIT: BIOS still has the older version after updating.

Ok, I updated BIOS restarted and set to default values restarted again but, the BIOS keeps the old version as if the install never happened. The only thing that changes is the error message the first couple of boot up's from flashing.
