My phone (an Xperia by Sony) recently had its screen broke, and it won't respond to anything, meaning that I can not unlock the phone at all. My PC's software to transfer the files (my contacts right now) requires my phone to be unlocked, or else it blocks the pc from accessing the data. Is there anyway (assuming that my phone can't be unlocked) that I can access my files?

What model phone ??
If it has a hardware camera button on the side pressing this will unlock most models.

Otherwise you're Sol UNLESS in the past you've enabled USB debugging in developer options

If perchance you have you can use android adb SDK on the PC & pull all files from the phone.

It does have that camera button, but since the phone has a password, im guessing that renders that feature useless.

You do have saved your needed photos and contacts on the inserted SIM card or phone SD memory card?
If you do, go extract the phone card to your PC with a card reader and try to copy them all out.
Of course, if you do have no extra copy on the phone card, in case of losing something unexpected, go take it to some professional phone repairing shops for helps.
