Hey, sorry if this is the wrong forum but I didn't know where else i would post it...
so i have a question, i rooted my S4 a long time ago through the Odin3 method (flashing) and I wonder if samsung would still replace my battery?
My battery is bloated and my battery dies when it hits ~60%.
cuz the battery has nothing to do with the rooting itself I guess heheh?

I don't see that they'd even need to physically see your phone - provided you can provide proof of purchase.

That assumes they're still providing replacements of course. That was ~3 years ago in Europe.

Either email, or live chat with Samsung.

"Hey, I have an S4, I'd like a new battery - you were replacing them in Europe. Are you still"
"Yes - can you provide your receipt" or "no".

You can only ask - and Samsung would be the people to ask.

If they say no, a replacement battery is ~$8 on Amazon

I doubt your battery is covered by any Samsung warranty. If you are paying for insurance on your phone you might be in luck. But since it only takes a fingernail to open your S4 and <$20 to purchase a new battery, I bet you are out of luck.

Warranty or not, it sounds like Samsung (at least in Europe) are offering free battery replacements.
It's unlikely Samsung would even ask to see your phone, proof of purchase should be sufficient to obtain the replacement.

A local Samsung store (or authorized distributor) visit is probably all you'll need to do.

I'd contact Samsung directly, and see where they send you.

so I can replace my battery even though I have rooted my phone? i can't unroot cuz it doesn't even boot into download mode without the charger. and they will know anyway since I can't really reset flash / binary counter on my s4.
