New Samsung 850 Evo not delivering performance wise

Just bought a new 850 evo off amazon and its not delivering in the performance department. I cloned my sp550 240gb to the new 500gb 850 pro with their data migration tool, installed magician and did tests using diskmark and Magician. After reading about similar issues people were having and resolving I made sure I had the latest Intel achi driver (I did), rolled back and reinstalled) and the results were the same.

Performance:

My computer - Windows 10 H, bios revision f4, Magician installed.

Going to samsung support, many of the support pages like support email and chat seem broken

From your first post, you ASK about the 850 Evo, then post about the 850 Pro. Which one are you running? Post up your Primary Magician Page (scratch out, or otherwise block your Serial Number) including the options list on the left hand pane. I have a 250 GB 850 EVO that runs DANDY and has been for the last 11+ months. Verify that you are running your drive thru a SATA III port, as well as have Rapid Mode active and your readings will improve.

You might reach 70K read IOPS but don't expect the manufacturer quoted specs in these tools. I've never seen one hit the full spec, between 850s, 950s (though they get close), intel 750s, other SSDs, etc. Those write IOPS are definitely low buy if this is your OS drive you'll want to make sure as few other apps are doing ANYTHING as possible. Otherwise they're eating IOPS while you're benching and you won't see the full speed. Watch things especially like windows update.

Ive just now tried it as a secondary instead of an os drive and it gives similar results

I could format the 850 again yes, but when I first cloned over my os it was empty then as well.

What other tools would you recommend. Ive used diskmark and that reported slow numbers

Also, going to samsung support, many of the links are completely broken

The IOPS numbers are the same than the first photo posted, something is not right with that SSD.

Just curious, which program do you used for this bench?

This was disk mark followed by as ssd benchmark.

Update, I reset the drive to factory default settings and now this is what the benches are saying.

Odd. I used this guide

made the whole thing one partition and retested.

Heres the before and after for AS ssd benchmark

You can see in the before the drive was misaligned. That's why the drive was underperforming. Whatever you did for after fixed the alignment.

Just out of curiosity I ran my Samsung Magician benchmark. This is running on an i7 950, 12GB ram, running Windows 7 Pro.
This is the OS drive with 9 apps open.

Are you sure you are running on a SATAIII port?
