How expensive would it be to replace a laptop graphics card?

I have a laptop with an AMD Radeon R9 M275 that I want to get fixed. However, it may be worth it for me to just spend the money on a new desktop instead. What is the repair price usually like for this graphics card?

Any kind of repair/replace parts on a laptop will be upwards of $500 - not economical. Because even after you spend the money and do the repair you still have an old laptop.

A neighbor took her laptop for a screen replacement and the store quoted her $800 for the repairs.

if you do it yourself than its the cost of a used card. hit up ebay.

Assuming OP's laptop uses the reference PCB... It may be a proprietary board design.

Also, some laptops are designed so that removing and/or changing out the graphics card will cause BIOS to freeze because of a hardware conflict.
