Possibly just got a bad chip, but here we go.

Not trying to blow out my cpu, as it already runs hot, but whenever I go above 1.2v, my load temps instantly spike to 100c. At 4.2ghz at stock voltage I'm stable, but any higher instantly BSOD's me.
Running a h110i, on a msi z170a sli plus board, hoping not to hit above 80c under load.

Solution
you can either go with Arctic Silver 5 which is what im using, or can go with the Arctic MX-4 which is very good as well. Any kind of thermal paste should be fine.

What are your temperatures on Stock clocks? idle/load? how are you testing your temps?
Hows your H110i installed? 100c on 1.2v is way to hot.
may want to try and re-seat the cooler and make sure the pump is working properly

On stock clock I get 30c idle, about 50c load. I'm testing with both P95 and the GTA 5 In-game benchmark. H110i is tight, using a pull config., and according to corsair link, pump is 2300-2700rpm

After Running p95, got strange results.

Throughout the test, my first 2 cores were running at 77c, while the other two were stable at 65c.

Testing at 1.1v 4.2ghz

That can be due to the thermal paste not spread out properly, i had similar issue with my H80i my 3rd/4th cores were so low compared to the 1st/2nd then i realized only like 70% of my thermal paste was touching the cpu so i had to use some washers on the backplate to have it much more tighter
