Quick help with installing windows to SSD

I have win8.1
Do I just upgrade win8 to 10 on my hdd then create iso to my usb/dvd then install it to ssd. Boot win10 from ssd and delete the hdd partition

Deleting partition will remove windows 10 I had on hdd right? IS there anything I need to tweak in bios to make sure it will work ( other than set boot device to ssd of course)

quick notice: I'll be using my hdd as storage, not boot but maybe install ubuntu there in the future or get ubuntu on ssd depends

You don't need to upgrade to w10 in order to create an bootable iso. You just download the w10 iso and go from there doing a clean install on your ssd. No need to go back and forth between the drives.

If you are going to format the drive, then yes, all date would be lost including windows.

someoen =e told me b4 that i should get win10 for licesnse key first. then go to ssd and sign in with my ms account

In this article it clearly states that when prompted you just enter your windows 7 key. And i have seen other references on that same method.
