My old one was a "Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard"

I was thinking of getting a Asus Maximus VIII Hero. Since VII was a pretty good MB.
But i was wondering if there was any better MB out there?

Im planning to get a SLI setup of 1080Ti when they come out.
Also this PC mostly for gaming

I have a Z170 Sabertooth, and since Z77s I've had Asus Sabertooths. 5 year warranty, rock solid tested before they ship, thermal armor and fans. But really, except for the warranty and RAM overclocking, any of the high end Asus boards are good. I am still thinking of switching to a Maximus board just to see what I can do with the RAM. The Sabertooths are great stable CPU overclockers, but not the best, and even though they have most all of the features of the Maximus, they're stability featured over overclocking features, if that makes sense. The bios should be familiar though.
