I've been on vacation for a bit and when I came home I went to go turn on my computer when suddenly it kept showing the black screen with reboot and select proper boot device.

I believe it's because of my SSD.
I removed my SSD and left the HDD in and it still showed the HDD in the boot device.
I removed my HDD and it doesn't show anything in the boot device anymore so it must be it, right?

I'm not too sure what the problem is and I've been struggling with this since the day I got home.
Please, any help is grateful.
My motherboard is Z77-DS3H.

Seems like the Hardrive is on the wrong boot order ? it´s super easy to do:

1: Press the <Delete> key to enter BIOS Setup
2: Navigate to Bios features
3: Under boot option priority: Make sure your SSD is at the top of the list

you basically need to set your SSD in the N°1 booting order

Hey, it's only showing the HDD in the boot list and nothing else.

dam that´s not a good sign. if your SSD is not showing on the Bios anymore it often means that the Hard drive died, funny thing is that it happened to me some days ago, I recommend to unplug the SSD clean everything and try turning the machine with only the SSD plugged on it. Try as well using another Sata cable and Sata power connector, the Ones working with your Physical Hardrive
