So, i was removing my gpu to send away for a replacement , whilst talking with the guy on the phone and having never removed one before he failed to mention the clip on the pcie slot, it snapped off, all in one piece, i took the card out the piece connected to the slot fine but no longer clicks into place, is this a write off or will i be able to fit the new card without any issues, please help
gpu is a strix 970 and the mobo is z170 gaming k3 if that helps with weight etc
