Hey folks; Ethobling here.
I made a post similar to this a year ago, but not my Quadro is not just hitting the 75C range, but up to 90C when playing Star Trek Online (rarely; usually it stays around 80-85C).
I have an Optiplex 780 MT with these specs:
-Core 2 Duo E8600 3.33Ghz, 6MB L2 Cache, 65W
-4 GB DDR3 Ram (data rate is either 1066 or 1333)
-Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 512 MB
-305W PSU (stock; came with the Optiplex)
-700 GB Seagate Barracuda
-Win XP 32 bit
Is this temperature range safe for the Quadro? I've looked everywhere and can't find the actual max safe operating temp, not the environmental temps...
P.S. Ik it is a crappy card and definitely NOT made for gaming. If you wanna recommend a better card with the PSU I have, I'm all ears...
