Hi guys,

I was gaming on my PC earlier, then suddenly it restarted on it's own. The monitor said there was no input, however I could hear the windows music play; I put in my password and could hear that PC was working, just no input to monitor.

I restarted the PC and the same happened however that time the fans were spinning on full (case fans were normal, but not sure if it was CPU, GPU or PSU fans on full). No previous symptoms at all.

I thought it could be GPU failure at first, but the fans on full (unless they are GPU fans) make me think it could be CPU, motherboard or PSU, I don't have any of these spare however so cannot test these components, and i don't want to buy any unless i'm sure that is the problem, so any ideas would be welcome.

I have GTX 670, intel i5 4670k, ocz zs650 and msi z87-G43 motherboard if that helps.
I hope it's the GPU as that will give me the excuse i need to splash out on a GTX 1070 XD

Thanks guys.

That did the trick, GPU failure it is. Is it worth taking to a shop to see if they can fix it, or is it just an expensive door stop now?

Thanks for the help

You're not done, reseat the GPU carefully back in, plug it's power connector, conenct it to teh monitor and give it another shot.(no need to mess with the BIOS if you have cleared it, just make sure you have no video pluged into the MB directly)
