I am trying to revive a old Fujitsu lifebook tablet PC, the drive was missing
so I bought and installed one...after several different attempts to install ANY
version of Windows except 10,..deleting drive using diskpart cleaned formatting
active partitioning , assigning, I still get the same error, the bios recognizes the
drive

Fujutsu lifebooks were notorious for requiring a driver on install, if you go to their website you should see the good old F6 driver listed on the page somewhere.

hey thanks ......ok while attempting the windows installs all windows versions stop at the
select partition screen and complain that windows cant be installed on drive 0 and may
not support booting to disk, check bios for drive control settings (error msg)
the bios lists it as such:
Toshiba MK3036GAL
LBA format
total sectorsd 117210240
max capacity 60012MB
I can change this drive to either auto detect or none, thats the only
values highlited

now if the drive is empty will the install allow drivers to be input ?
any help would be greatly welcomed and appreciated

Hello... With Windows 7 you will need a Sata AHCI driver for AHCI install... BUT Not in IDE mode... due to the HARDWARE communications for the drive, AND Windows install media... understand ? YOU NEED A DRIVER, and you get the driver from Fujutsu... B / Windows install media allows a moment to install this... DL and copy... use a CD or USB drive for install.

3) Do you need a pre-install AHCI driver... for the OS install? dude it kinda seemed like you had it on your desktop
or something lol
