New cpu not working.. I dont think

I recently upgraded my cpu from an i5-4690k to an i7-4790. Im using a GTX 970 4gb with it. I play games like Arma 3 and see little to no difference in my performance. Is there something i can do to see a difference?

You shouldn't see much difference because Arma 3 doesn't need more than 4 cores. An overclcoked i5-4690k should perform as well or better than an i7-4790.

You could see improvements in many applications, but not in gaming which is primarily GPU bound. Get a better graphics card if you want to improve your gaming performance. Going from an i5 4690k to a i7 4790 wont do it.
