I am wanting to upgrade my Compaq Presario cq62 with an intel Celeron cpu 900 @ 2.2 GHZ with something faster. I currently run windows 7 and DJ and do not wish to buy another computer with a later version. Is there another CPU that I can use to help me? Thanks, Mike

No, there is nothing you can really do to that to make it 'better'.
I have a similar vintage Toshiba, and recently got rid of a similar vintage Compaq.
It is what it is.

About the only thing you could do is swap in an SSD, but that would be pretty much of a waste of a good drive.
