I currently own the K70 RGB with MX Red switches. I recently came across the Logitech G810 and visually it struck my eye. I was wondering if anyone could add some input on the Romer G switches and other pros of switching to the G810. I would be selling my K70 to get the G810.

Yes I understand that Romer G switches are closer to brown switches than red switches.

Solution
Beside the looks, there is no significant differences, if you switch mechanical keyboards with more or less the same characteristics.
I tried G810 shortly and found that Romer G is somewhere near Chery MX brown.
Yes, somewhere between brown and red but closer to brown in my opinion.

I would not switch to G810 if I already had K70 red. This is not an upgrade and I switch only due to upgrade.
You are basically only switching looks.
However, if you like G810 a lot more and have the cash, I do not see why not.

I even bought the cheapest mx cherry brown I can find, which is Qpad MK80 pro on a special offer.
I do not see real benefit to go for expensive mechanical keyboards.

I recently obtained a Logitech G 810 and so far I`m pretty happy with the feel of the Romer G switches.I used to own a G710+ with cherry mx browns and the difference that I can notice is that the Romers are firstly much quieter, they seem to actuate quicker and have less travel distance(3mm) compared to the mx browns 4mm,so feels more responsive. The lighting on the G810 is great and also the lettering being in the middle of the keycap instead of being to the top as on the browns is also a bonus. The slightly raised spacebar gets some getting used to,(maybe flat would have been better),but overall I`m very happy with what I would consider an upgrade from the G710+....Hope this helps,Pablo
