I upgraded my computer with the free windows 10 pro edition using the 32 bit disc. My computer is set up for 64 bit. I have a free 64 bit windows 10 download on disc. Can I upgrade to windows 10 pro with that disc?

Solution
Yes. If you upgraded an existing version of Windows, you can only upgrade to the same thing in Windows 10, i.e., Windows 7 Home 32 bit to Windows 10 Home 32 bit. If you want to change to 64 bit, you will need to make sure your hardware supports 64 bit first. Then you can retrieve your Windows 10 key using Nirsoft's Produkey and back up any information from the current installation you want to save. Use the Media Creation Tool to make a new Windows 10 installation media, then reinstall the 64 bit version using the key you retrieved.

Solution

There is no reason to mess with key retrieval.

Simply do a clean install using W10 64-bit, and do NOT enter a key. MS will sort out the key and activate this for you. If any activation issues then contact MS Tech support from your computer so they can scan and fix the issue.

Example:
1. unhook any OTHER drives to avoid issues
2. boot to W10 64-bit media
3. DELETE any existing partitions on the drive (unless you had a dual-partition and needed the data on the other partition)

4. Do NOT enter a key.
5. Finish MS Updates
6. Verify activation status (right-click Start-> System) that should show "Windows is activated"

Boot from the disc.

Perform a clean install.

When you are being prompted to input key, simply skip the step.

Next time you are online, Microsoft will verify your OS. If it does not, go to Settings - Update and Security - Activation.
