Do these mb support Athlon X4 845 out of the box?

Hi, here is my question :

Do these mb support Athlon X4 845 out of the box? Without updating the bios first.The Carrizo cpu sure need newer bios in order to work even in the same fm2+ because of the new architecture.


here is the list :

- MSI A68HM-E33 V2
- Biostar Hi-Fi A70U3P
- FM2A68M-HD+

do they need to be updated to support the cpu?

You can go to the motherboard support site, then check the CPU support list and see when the BIOS version for that CPU was made. If it's a long time ago all newer motherboards should have it installed by default.

That MSI board for example got the BIOS update six months ago, so a new board SHOULD work though I can't guarantee it will.

Also, these appear to be BUDGET boards which may not have good reliability. The MSI doesn't appear reliable:

All boards have issues but over a THIRD of reviewers gave a 1/5 or 2/5 score.
