How will this build work for gaming and editing? And how well will it?

I previously made my own PC, and its fine and good, but, I would like to upgrade to fit and work well for what I want to do.

After searching around on the internet, reading good and bad reviews on parts i have come to wanting to buy these parts , but, would like to know if they are good together without having a bottleneck or not having things be compatible or even fitting in the case.

These are the parts:

Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 256-Bit GDDR5

Case: NZXT Phantom 240 ATX Mid Tower

Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX

And a monitor that i have been looking at: BenQ GL2460HM 24.0" 60Hz Monitor

And I also just want to note that i am reusing some parts from a previous build.
Case, Power Supply, and Storage

-Thank you

It's "big enough" (the power supply) it's just a bad one, no way I'd bring that power supply from an old build into a new one. Have you prices. 6600k/z170board/ddr4 build it will outperform what you have listed and if in the use be the same or lower price if picked out correctly

So just switch out the power supply and I should be good? What will do better that?
And switching my other parts with the ones you say when have a bigger performance?
But, with the switches would it all be good?
And i should also add that i do not plan on overclocking at all.
