I have been searching through threads looking for an answer but I cannot seem to find one. The problem that I am having is after a certain amount of time in game (occurred only on Borderlands and CoD:MW2) my game will freeze up and I will be presented with a bunch of vertical bars on screen (usually black and gray) and an annoying buzz. I have updated to the newest drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled each game, and it doesn't solve the problem. Any help?

Specs:
i5-4690k (not overclocked)
MSI R9 280x
Corsair CX600 power supply
4x4GB of RAM

Solution
1| How old is your system?
2| The GPU you have is actually drawing more power than the PSU can provide(considering the fact that capacitor aging can and will take place).
3| It can also be possible that your GPU is artifacting due to an issue with the drivers. Have you tried reinstalling your GPU drivers with former versions that were last known stable on your system? Say, for example, running drivers that were used after you'd purchased your GPU?
4| Have you made sure your BIOS and remaining drivers are up to date?
6| Speaking of BIOS, you didn't state your OS, drives and motherboard.
