Hi

I have heard you can get internet dongles and routers that you can plug into a laptop so you can get internet where wifi isn't an option.

I'm guessing you have to be on contract with a phone company or something?

How do I go about all of this?

Cell phone providers can provide you with this service. You get you connection off the cell towers through a dongle.

alternatively - Some phones (that carry a data-plan) can provide a hot-spot that does pretty much the same thing, but creates a wi-fi hot spot for you to connect your laptop to. the data comes through your phone.
