7970 Crossfire or RX 480

Hey guys I was wondering what you guys think. I've had a 7970 since it came out, and came into some money to upgrade my pc with. I was wondering if buying another 7970 and running them in crossfire or trying to sell my 7970 and getting a rx 480 4gb would be better for gaming. Thanks a lot for your help

Well, crossfire is never ideal as nothing really scales amazingly. However, I'd guess 2x 7970 might outpower a 480 in theory - in real world a 480 would be the best bet. Less power, higher actual fps, no xfire headaches, no microstutter etc

sorry didnt mean to pick you as the solution so early clicked by accident, but im not really that into hardware and was just wondering what these headaches your talking about are
