So, I was playing overwatch last night and my computer suddenly shut off. I was slightly confused and when I tried to turn it on, the fans kicked on for a second and turned right back off. It says my computer is getting power, but nothing is booting up. So I went to bed and came to it the next morning and it turned on funny, but booted up none the less. I played overwatch again for a solid 8 or so minutes and it does the same thing. I am thinking my cpu is overheating and I might need to get new thermal gel or fans or something, but i'm not that great at computers so that is why I came here.

Can you tell your computer specifications, also download free program realtemp, this will help to monitor the temperature that your cpu is running at.

As an additional step go to event viewer and try to find the reason of the last shutdown.

What is the status of your computer right now? How long has it been cleaned up? What's the specs of your pc?

Do provide us these things so we can help you further.

So the computer turns on, but it won't boot. As it it gets power, but it isn't even displaying on the monitor. I brought it into the shop a few days ago to install some new software, so everything was pretty normal. And for my specs, I have a corsair cx750m power supply, nvidia geforce 760 graphics card, a msi 970-g43 plus, and my hard drive is a solid state 1 tb

Ok, I ASSUME that maybe your RAM is at fault(maybe). How many RAM sticks/modules do you have?
From what I've read, your computer can POST (power on self test) right?

I just want to clarify, you went to your local store and installed a new software. So your pc is now booting with the installed OS?
