Upgrade 3570k now or wait?

I managed to bend multiple motherboard pins on my rig. Is a cpu upgrade worth it now, since im already in the market for a new mobo. Haven't kept track of hardware recently so I am unsure whether I should wait to upgrade.

CPU: 3570k at 4.2
CPU cooler: evo212
Motherbord: msi Mpower z77
RAM:Corsair vengance 2x8 1600mhz
HD1:Samsung 128gb ssd
HD2:Western digital black 1T
PSU: corsair RM850i
chase:Cooler Master HAFX
GPU1: EVGA 670 4gb
GPU2: EVGA 670 4gb
Display: benq 144 hz 27 in

Typically, boards for the older processors are ridiculously marked up. I'd recommend going with the i5 6500, but that means that you'd need different RAM, not to mention, it's not worth investing more money in an already outdated platform. What would be a reasonable budget?

Budget is around 500 but flexible for the new cpu/mobo/ram.
